you when you subscribe to our newsletter, or when you sign up for one of our conferences, or any
occasional activity.

Stichting SCEE aims to bring together scientists – mathematicians and electrical engineers, from
universities and industry - with the goal of intensive discussions on Computational Science and
Engineering. Simultaneously, it targets to stimulate young researchers in actively participating at the
SCEE conferences. The actions and offers of support by the SCEE Foundation are in synergy with the
actions of the Special Interest Group “Modeling, Simulation and Optimization in Electrical Engineering” within the European Consortium of Mathematics for Industry (ECMI).

2. Purpose and legal basis of processing
Stichting SCEE processes your personal data in accordance with the purposes and procedures described
in the General Data Protection Regulation. There are three possible situations in which we process your
personal data:
- when registering for a conference
- by subscribing to our newsletter
- when registering for an occasional activity
When registering for a conference, the following personal data are processed: gender, first name and surname, position, date of birth, e-mail address, telephone number, address details, and if applicable: name and place of business of the educational institution. These data will be used for correspondence with the person who has registered, concerning the registration, participation and invoicing of the SCEE Conference. We also use your e-mail address to inform you about the conference(s).
When registering for the newsletter, we process the following personal data: e-mail address, first name and last name (if provided by you). These data will only be used for sending our newsletter. At the bottom of each newsletter you will find a link to unsubscribe from the newsletter.
When you register for an occasional activity, the following personal data will be processed: gender, first name and surname, date of birth, e-mail address, telephone number, address details, possible position and company name. These data will only be used for correspondence with the person who has registered for the activity, concerning the registration, participation and possible invoicing of the activity. We also use your e-mail address to inform you about the activity in question.

We do not retain personal data longer than is necessary or required by law. If permission continues to
be granted, the data provided by you will not be deleted. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter and/or
invoke one of your rights as described in paragraph 6, this will be processed as soon as possible.
4. Security
For cookie policy, see our website. To prevent abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure
and unauthorised changes, Stichting SCEE uses appropriate security procedures. If you suspect that your
data is not properly secured or if there are indications of misuse, please contact Stichting SCEE.
5. Sharing with third parties
Stichting SCEE does not provide your data to third parties and will only provide them in order to comply
with a legal obligation. Our newsletter may contain links to external websites and organisations. We
bear no responsibility with regard to the use of your data by those organisations. Please read the privacy

6. Your rights
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. For this purpose you can contact
info@scee-conferences.org.

7. Changes Privacy Statement
Stichting SCEE reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Statement. If the Privacy Statement
changes, a notification will be included on the SCEE website fourteen days before the activation.
